Hey guys!

The last couple of months have been the more exciting and at the same time the more stressful of my life… I quit my job, I left my home city, and I moved to another country. Now, I am happy to let you all know that I finally arrived in what would be my home for at least the next few months: Mexico City.

I am super excited and expectant of what life may bring along. The first thing that I have found in Mexico City is its crazy weather. I come from a city that doesn’t have weather seasons, it is always between 50 and 70°F depending on the time of the day and the year, so I kind of always knew what to wear when. Well, this ¨weather thing¨ seems to be the first challenge for me now. Mexico City can go from 88 to 57°F during the same day!

Once I read on a fashion magazine that we should always look up the weather before leaving home. And yes, I always do that – not for the same reason as fashion magazines recommend it – I always do it because I don’t want to be carrying a jacket around while melting down under the sun in a hot day, and I don’t want to be shivering and being unable to articulate a word in a cold night out either. I basically do it because I want to feel confortable.

Luckily, today I found an outfit that adjusted to the temperature and made me feel good. The goal is to always feel that way!

Hola, hola!

Los últimos meses han sido los más emocionantes y al mismo tiempo los más estresantes de mi vida… renuncié a mi trabajo, me fui de mi ciudad y me mudé de país. Feliz, hoy le puedo contar que llegué al que será mi ciudad por los siguientes meses: Ciudad de México.

Estoy muy emocionada y a la expectativa por lo que la vida me tiene preparado. Por lo pronto, la primera sorpresa que me he llevado es el clima loquísimo de CDMX. Yo vengo de una ciudad en donde no hay estaciones, el clima siempre está entre 10 y 21°C, dependiendo del momento del día y del año, entonces yo casi siempre sabía qué ponerme y cuándo ponérmelo. Pues, este tema del clima en CDMX parece ser el primer reto en esta nueva vida, pues la ciudad puede pasar de 31 a 14°C en el mismo día!

Alguna vez leí a una revista que las mujeres siempre debemos chequear el estado del tiempo antes de salir de la casa. Y si, yo siempre lo hago – aunque no por la misma razón por la que las revistas lo recomiendan – Yo lo hago porque no quiero estar cargando una chaqueta mientras me estoy derritiendo en un día caliente, ni quiero estar temblando y sin poder modular una palabra en una noche fría. Básicamente lo hago porque quiero estar cómoda.

Por suerte, hoy encontré una pinta que se ajustaba perfectamente al clima y me hacía sentir bien. La meta es siempre sentirse así!
